1. Registration for NTU TOC 2012

Kyorugi
Notes:
1) There is a limit of 2 players and 1 reserve per institute/club for each category in the Sparring event.
2) Kyorugi events will be using Feb (2012) grading results.
3) All players must be 18 years old or above by End of February**
4) During Weigh-in, all weights will be rounded down to whole number. (E.g both 56.01kg and 56.99kg will be recorded as 56kg). **
5) Red belts are not allowed to spar if they have helf on their belts for more than 2years.
6) Alumni's are allowed to participate as well, but a proof that you were from Ngee Ann Poly is needed. **

Poomsae

Notes:

1) Each institute may register a maximum of 2 competitiors for each pattern category in the Pattern events.

2) Pattern events will be using Feb (2012) grading results.

3) Colour belts are allowed to perform pattern of any grade. Only Black belts may perform Koryo and Keumgang Poomsae.

4) Alumni's are allowed to participate as well, but a proof that you were from Ngee Ann Poly is needed.

1) Although we are only able to send 2 per category, please include your name if you are interested. We will do a selection later on.

In July, the freshies went for their first grading!

National Kyorugi Referee Course for Blackbelts

The National Kyorugi Referee Course will be held on 23, 24 and 30 July 2011 at the STF National Training Centre.

It is a 12-hour course covering the latest interpretations of the competition rules and regulations.

Blackbelt players are also encouraged to attend the course as it will help them in the understanding of the rules. The knowledge will stand them in good stead in their preparation for the competition and in the competition.

Fees as follows:

On or before Monday 18 July 2011 - $80.00

On or before Wednesday 20 July 2011 - $100.00

Kyorugi Referee Refresher Seminar

Attention to all Kyorugi Referees and Coaches

The annual Kyorugi Referee Refresher Seminar will be held on Sunday 27 March 2011 from 2.30pm to 6.30pm at the National Training Centre. The dress code for the event is ‘dobok’.

The seminar will cover, among other things, the latest amendments to the Competition Rules and Regulations.

All active kyorugi referees must attend the seminar to have their licenses to officiate extended by a year. Coaches who are national referees are also encouraged to participate in the seminar. The knowledge will be invaluable to them if they wish to continue to be effective coaches.

Kyorugi referees with expired licenses may also attend the seminar. Their licenses will be renewed if they pass the assessment which will be conducted at the end of the seminar for all participants.

As the provision of referees is a pre-condition for participation in all STF organized or sanctioned tournaments, it is important for clubs to have their own pool of qualified referees.

The registration fees are as follows.

- On or before Friday 25 March 2011 (by 3.00pm) - $20.00
- On the spot registration - $40.00

If you have the NP Jacket, please bring it on that day too! It definitely looks COOL to wear it. :D

Details breakdown:

Attires to be worn:
- All Female participants are ONLY allowed to wear a plain white round neck t-shirt while participating

Appearance:
- NO highlighted hair allowed, only black in colour hair
- NO hair-clips, hairbands, earrings, necklace are to be worn (including other accessories)
- Do keep your hair neat and tidy
- Fingernails must be cut short

All participants Do Bok (Taekwondo Gi) needs to have:
- STF printing at the back of your uniform (black in colour ONLY)
- STF logo at the left side of your arm [ STF logo @ $5]

Those who have not had these printings/logo/crest, please do so by informing the committee members latest by 9 March (wed), 2pm.

National Kyorugi Referee Course for Blackbelts update

The National Kyorugi Referee Course will be held on 19, 20 and 27 March 2011 at the STF National Training Centre.

It is a 12-hour course covering the latest interpretations of the competition rules and regulations.

Blackbelt players are also encouraged to attend the course as it will help them in the understanding of the rules. The knowledge will stand them in good stead in their preparation for the competition and in the competition.

Attention to ALL Black Belt Holders!

There will be a Poomsae Coach Course conducted at the National Training Centre (Whampoa). This course is necessary if you wish to qualify as a black belt poomsae coach. I would strongly encourage those who have not yet attended this course before, to sign up and not give it a miss as this may be a annual course provided by STF.

A practical and theory tests will be conducted at the end of the course.

Dearest all

How was chalet over the weekend, fun? I bet most of you enjoyed despite the fact that, the room's air-con is not functioning very well =)) Nevertheless, the committee members would like to thank all who had come, and its because of your presence, that make this yearly chalet a success.

Next up:

As I have announced during Monday's training, all members are required to pay training fees by next Thursday, 4th November 2010. You may pass the money to Jeryl or Yanjin. If anyone of you are facing tight budget, feel free to approach the committees and we will work out the best solution.

37th National Pesta Sukan Taekwondo Championships 2010

Here's an update on the total number of medals our NPTKD fighters have won during the yearly National competition held over the weekends on the 5th and 12th September 2010, Yishun Sports Hall.

We have send a total number of 9 fighters and they have not only done the school proud, in addition, they have gain valuable experience which will enhance them to do even better in the next tournament to come. Not forgetting our coach, Derrick Sir, who have committed his time in training them. For we know without the effort put in, we would not have achieved so much.
